I gave it a 5 star rating because it was a thoroughly enjoyable book that had me totally engrossed in the story ( I started this book late last night and read it all day today because I couldn't put it down), it was well plotted and I loved the characters. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves P.I. novels.- L.Kraft

This is one of the best PI books I have read. Tony Gavel is an amazing investigator that always manages to get himself into tough spots. - Trista Borgwardt

Mr. Gavel is aces as a PI. Story developed quickly but you begin to wonder if anything good comes from all the problems. I thoroughly enjoyed the characters but was disappointed that the ending wasn't quite complete. I would definitely recommend this book to others who love a PI that is smart and can roll with the punches. Story line will keep you guessing until the twisted end. - PJ Bear
